Flood Risk Management
HMRC focuses on minimizing the risk posed by probable flooding, which includes different structural and non-structural aspects like flood forecasting, early warning and protection measures. Our goal is to invest in introducing cutting-edge tools for flood risk cycle, prevention, protection and preparation measures which will lead to preventing the loss of properties, assets, and life caused by floods.
Integrated Water Resources Management
Water is the lifeblood of ecosystems, vital to human health and well-being and a precondition for economic prosperity. That is why it is at the very core of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG 6), the availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all, has strong links to all of the other Goals. HMRC emphasizes on the following sectors to plan and execute a concrete Integrated Water Resource Management Social equity, Economic efficiency and Ecological sustainability. We engage in actions enabling environment of policies laws and plans, developing institutional arrangements for cross-sectoral and multilevel coordination, and stakeholder involvement, management instruments such as data collection and assessments and instruments for water allocation that facilitate better decisions and financing for water infrastructure and ongoing costs of water resources management.
Early Warning Systems
As an integral part of Integrated Flood Risk Management, the HMRC imposes on improving the Early Flood Warning System utilizing the latest technologies and mathematical models. HMRC will focus on 4 core parts of Early Flood Warning System-assessments and knowledge of flood risks in the area, local hazard monitoring (forecasts) and warning severe flood risk dissemination and communication service and, community response capabilities
Mathematical models play a vital role in the early warning system. We offer full-throttled technical expertise on all sorts of deterministic, stochastic, physical and system models, which guarantees the optimum practical application to the model outputs.
GIS & Remote Sensing
As an integral part of water resource management, meteorology and hydrology, HMRC offers expertise on different GIS and remote sensing sectors. Our GIS expertise includes processing and analyzing satellite images and remotely sensed data, storage, design and maintenance of the data into databases.
